About Me
Dr. Abraham Poulose is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Sabates Eye Centers. He specializes in cataract surgery and the treatment of diseases affecting the retina and vitreous, including macular degeneration and diabetic eye conditions.
Dr. Poulose earned his medical degree with honors from Emory University School of Medicine. He completed an internship at the University of Kansas and an ophthalmology residency at the UMKC School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident. He then pursued subspecialty training in medical and surgical retinal and vitreous diseases at the Eye Foundation of Kansas City. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Poulose is involved in clinical research on macular degeneration and diabetic eye diseases and serves as an associate professor for the Department of Ophthalmology at the UMKC School of Medicine.
