Dr. A Whitehead

Dr. Whitehead is an ophthalmologist at Mercyhealth Eye Center–East in Janesville, Wisconsin. He specializes in the medical and surgical management of retinal and vitreous diseases, treating conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal vein occlusion, uveitis, and inherited retinal disorders. His approach includes the use of various lasers, injections, and systemic therapies, and he also offers laser treatment for floaters and Botox for medical and cosmetic purposes.

Dr. Whitehead has a strong research background, having participated in worldwide clinical and epidemiological studies of macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy before medical school.
