Dr. Yasmin Islam

Yasmin Islam, MD, is a board-certified glaucoma specialist at Clay Eye Physicians & Surgeons. She offers the full spectrum of glaucoma care—from medication and lasers to advanced surgery—and has particular expertise integrating glaucoma procedures with cataract surgery when appropriate. Dr. Islam also performs complex and refractive cataract surgery, and aims to match each patient’s treatment plan to their visual needs and daily activities.

Dr. Islam earned her medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine, completed an internal-medicine internship at Massachusetts General Hospital, and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida. She then pursued fellowship training in glaucoma at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Palm Beach Gardens. Patients appreciate her clear explanations of test results, pressure targets and surgical options, including minimally invasive techniques that can reduce drop burden while protecting the optic nerve.
