About Me
Dr. Xuemin (Rosie) Zhang is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained cataract, cornea, and refractive surgeon. She earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center where she served as chief resident, and pursued subspecialty fellowship training in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. After fellowship, she joined the University of Arizona as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Zhang cares for patients with a full spectrum of anterior segment and ocular surface conditions and is committed to delivering excellent, personalized care. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese and values clear communication and shared decision-making. An active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and Women in Ophthalmology, she has published peer-reviewed research and remains engaged in advancing the field while helping each patient understand their diagnosis and treatment options.
