Dr. Wyche Coleman

Dr. Wyche T. Coleman III is an established cataract surgeon at the Willis Knighton Eye Institute in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is the second surgeon in Louisiana to be certified in using the LenSx® femtosecond laser for cataract surgery, which provides blade-free precision and accurate results. Dr. Coleman also provides excellent general eye care for patients with glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.

Dr. Coleman invented the IExaminer, a breakthrough mobile eye technology that allows retinal images to be taken and transmitted with an Apple iPhone. This device is FDA-approved and has been licensed by Welch-Allyn, a leading medical diagnostic equipment manufacturer. He earned his medical degree and completed his ophthalmology residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.

As an eye surgeon at WK Eye Institute, Dr. Coleman specializes in cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants, custom LASIK and PRK procedures, and refractive lens exchange. He is also the co-founder of Tubreaux Aviation, located at the Shreveport Downtown Airport. Dr. Coleman is known for having more patient reviews than any other practicing ophthalmologist in the United States.
