Dr. William Fishkind

Dr. William Fishkind, M.D., FACS is the founder and original partner of Oracle Eye Physicians & Surgeons. After guiding the Practice for over 30 years as Founder and Medical Director, he fully retired in 2019. Dr. Fishkind is enjoying retirement with his family and continues to support the Practice’s outreach and ophthalmology education.

He attained his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, and completed a medical residency at the Harvard Primary Care Program in Boston as well as an Ophthalmology Residency at a combined program of the USPHS Hospital and Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He is board certified in both internal medicine and ophthalmology. Dr. Fishkind has travelled extensively, teaching nationally and internationally and has been a visiting professor at numerous universities.

He has edited a textbook, 'Complications in Phacoemulsification: Avoidance, Recognition, and Management' and another major textbook entitled 'Phacoemulsification and Intra Ocular Lens Implantation,' both published by Thieme Publications in New York City. Additionally, Dr. Fishkind has authored many articles as well as book chapters on phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation. He is honored to be one of Americas Top Physicians and Tucson’s Best 100 Doctors.
