About Me
Dr. William H. Walton is a board-certified ophthalmologist and glaucoma subspecialist at Morganton Eye Physicians. He offers comprehensive eye care with a focus on the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, serving patients in western North Carolina.
Dr. Walton graduated as valedictorian from Upsala College and earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, where he also completed his ophthalmology residency and served as chief resident. He then completed a glaucoma fellowship at the Dean A. McGee Eye Institute at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center.
Since joining Morganton Eye Physicians in 2004, Dr. Walton has provided both medical and surgical services for glaucoma and other eye diseases, emphasizing personalized care to help patients maintain their vision.
