Dr. James Harris

Dr. James W. Harris is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma. He offers a full spectrum of glaucoma care, including diagnostic consultations, medical therapy, laser treatments, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries such as the Kahook dual blade, XEN gel stent, and endocyclophotocoagulation (ECP). Dr. Harris also performs anterior segment surgery and small incision cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation. Additionally, he treats eyelid and external eye conditions and provides comprehensive eye examinations, along with prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses.

Dr. Harris is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is affiliated with Catawba Valley Medical Center. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. Dr. Harris sees patients at multiple locations in Hickory, Lenoir, and Lincolnton, North Carolina.
