Dr. Jennifer Lira

Dr. Jennifer Lira is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and glaucoma care. She offers a range of advanced surgical options for cataracts, including small incision, laser-assisted, and iStent procedures, and provides medical and laser treatments for glaucoma. Dr. Lira also manages external eye diseases and performs comprehensive eye examinations for primary eye care, prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses as needed.

Dr. Lira completed her medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and her ophthalmology residency at Duke University School of Medicine. She is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the North Carolina Medical Society, and the North Carolina Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. She practices at Graystone Eye in Hickory and Lincolnton, North Carolina.
