About Me
Dr. Wendell Danforth is a vitreo-retinal surgeon who joined the Eye Center of Hawaii in early 2014 and sees patients across Oahu and the neighboring islands. He specializes in diseases of the vitreous, macula, and retina, providing advanced surgical care for complex retinal conditions.
Dr. Danforth graduated summa cum laude from Drake University and earned his medical degree with honors from Cornell University Medical College. He completed his ophthalmology residency and a retinal fellowship at the Washington National Eye Center, then served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Fairchild Air Force Base, where he received a meritorious service medal. He has been in private practice since 1999.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Danforth enjoys tennis and exploring the Hawaiian islands.
