Dr. Wajiha Kheir

Dr. Wajiha Kheir is a consultant ophthalmologist specializing in medical retina and ocular oncology. She cares for adults and children with conditions ranging from diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration to ocular tumors such as retinoblastoma and melanoma. As a visiting consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital Dubai and a visiting assistant professor of ophthalmology, she partners closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide precise diagnosis, thoughtful counseling, and individualized treatment plans.

Dr. Kheir completed a BSc in Biology and her MD at the American University of Beirut, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. She then pursued subspecialty fellowships in Medical Retina and in Ocular Oncology with a Clinical Pathology concentration at the Duke Eye Center. Her clinical interests include radiation retinopathy and inherited retinal degenerations, and she has presented and published widely on retinal and oncologic eye disease.
