Dr. Tyler Boulter

Dr. Tyler Boulter is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who was named one of Portland’s Top Doctors in 2025 by Portland Monthly Magazine. He specializes in cataract surgery, LASIK, diabetic eye exams, glaucoma treatment, and minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), offering comprehensive eye care to his patients.

His journey into ophthalmology was inspired by witnessing the transformative impact of cataract treatment during his two years in Peru. Dr. Boulter is continually working to provide the most effective and reliable treatments possible, ensuring life-changing improvements in vision for those he cares for. He finds great joy in helping patients achieve their best possible sight.

Dr. Boulter completed his undergraduate education in Public Health at BYU and attended medical school at Texas A&M. He then completed a residency internship at UC Riverside and his ophthalmology residency at the University of Wisconsin, where he was chosen as chief resident. Fluent in Spanish, he values clear communication with all patients. Outside of practice, he volunteers as the team eye physician for the Portland Timbers and Portland Thorns and enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, sports, and exploring with his family.
