About Me
Dr. Timothy J. Kietzman is a neuro-ophthalmologist who evaluates vision problems related to conditions affecting the brain and optic nerve. He cares for patients with unexplained vision loss and other neurologic vision concerns, and he also treats acute eye conditions. His approach emphasizes careful listening, thorough evaluation, and clear guidance on next steps.
Dr. Kietzman earned a B.S. in chemistry from Wheaton College and a medical doctorate from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. He completed ophthalmology residency training at Brooke Army Medical Center and completed a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He served as an ophthalmologist during Operation Desert Storm and later worked as a clinical and surgical instructor at Gilgit Eye Hospital in Pakistan. In 2012, he received the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Outstanding Humanitarian Service Award for his work in Gilgit.
