Dr. Thomas Prater

Dr. Thomas Prater is an ophthalmologist certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology who specializes in LASIK and cataract surgery. He provides comprehensive eye care for patients in the Springfield area, treating conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. Dr.

Prater earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he also completed his residency in ophthalmology at Barnes Hospital. He graduated magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Dr. Prater is actively involved in the Springfield community, having served on the boards of Springfield Public Schools, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
