About Me
Dr. Thomas Dohlman is an ophthalmologist and clinician-scientist at Boston Children’s Hospital who specializes in the medical and surgical management of corneal and external eye diseases. He cares for both pediatric and adult patients, combining careful diagnosis with individualized treatment plans aimed at improving comfort, vision, and long-term eye health.
His clinical interests include corneal disease and ocular surface disease, as well as complex problems related to corneal inflammation, scarring, and transplantation. Dr. Dohlman treats common and urgent surface conditions such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, and corneal abrasions, and he also manages progressive corneal disorders like keratoconus. Alongside patient care, he conducts basic science and clinical research in corneal immunology and inflammation and in corneal transplantation immunology, helping translate new insights into better therapies for patients and families.
