About Me

Dr. Leyla Yavuz Saricay is an ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training spanning ophthalmic genetics, pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus, and cornea and refractive surgery. She cares for both children and adults, bridging genetic eye disease, complex corneal disorders, and motility problems with a patient-first, multidisciplinary approach. Dr. Yavuz Saricay completed medical school at Trakya University School of Medicine, followed by residency in ophthalmology at Dr. Lutfi Kirdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital. She subsequently pursued clinical research in the Cornea Service at Tufts Medical Center, a fellowship in ophthalmic genetics and pediatric ophthalmology at Boston Children’s Hospital, and a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at Mass Eye and Ear. Her interests include keratoconus, ocular surface disease, corneal transplantation, pediatric and adult strabismus, and the evaluation of inherited eye conditions. She emphasizes clear education, careful surgical planning, and long-term follow-up to help patients and families navigate care with confidence.
