About Me
Dr. Ryan Gise is an attending physician in the Department of Ophthalmology at Boston Children’s Hospital and an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School. He cares for children with complex vision and eye health concerns, including problems that involve the connection between the eyes and the nervous system.
Dr. Gise treats conditions such as optic neuritis, retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), and eye alignment and vision development issues like strabismus and amblyopia. He values the long-term impact of pediatric care and finds it especially rewarding to support children as they grow and develop. His training includes pediatrics, ophthalmology, and fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology and pediatric ophthalmology, helping him coordinate care with families and the broader medical team.
