Dr. Thomas Spoor

Dr. Spoor is a neuro-ophthalmologist and oculoplastic surgeon at Sarasota Retina Institute, where he provides sub-specialty consultative care with a focus on tearing and dry eye. He divides his practice between Sarasota and Detroit.

Dr. Spoor completed medical school at the University of Texas, a surgical internship at the University of Minnesota, ophthalmology residency at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, and a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology and orbital surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. He has over 20 years of academic experience and continues to teach at national meetings. He has trained many residents and fellows in his subspecialties and is board-certified in ophthalmology.
