Dr. Thomas Briggs

Thomas M. Briggs, MD, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides full-spectrum eye care for adults in Tulsa. He performs cataract surgery using standard, toric, and multifocal lenses and tailors recommendations to each person’s goals. Dr. Briggs also evaluates and treats glaucoma, including laser SLT and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). He offers diabetic eye exams, comprehensive eye exams, and accurate glasses prescriptions, and partners closely with primary care and optometry colleagues to keep vision clear and comfortable.

Raised in Tulsa, Dr. Briggs graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Nutritional Sciences from Oklahoma State University before attending medical school at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Storm Eye Institute at the Medical University of South Carolina. His academic honors include election to Alpha Omega Alpha and the Dr. Fred G. Silva Medical Leadership Award. He has also participated in international medical missions and local free clinics to expand access to sight-saving care.
