About Me
Dr. Terrence D. McCanna is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has served the Chippewa Valley community for over 25 years. He specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, offering cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, and management of retinal diseases. Dr. McCanna uses up-to-date technology to provide thorough and safe surgical care.
Dr. McCanna performs modern cataract surgery and offers premium intraocular lenses when indicated. He treats glaucoma with medications, laser procedures, and minimally invasive surgery. Additionally, he manages macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other retinal conditions.
Dr. McCanna earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He completed an internship at St. Joseph's Hospital/Marshfield Clinic and an ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital/Thomas Jefferson University. Since 1995, he has been with the Chippewa Valley Eye Clinic and also serves as an assistant clinical professor.
