Dr. Susan Anderson-Nelson

Dr. Susan J. Anderson-Nelson is a retina specialist at Wheaton Eye Clinic who focuses on diseases of the retina. She provides diagnostic testing and medical and laser treatment for conditions affecting the back of the eye, including diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

Dr. Anderson-Nelson has been with Wheaton Eye Clinic since 1991 and has served on the Board of Directors and Quality Committee. She also teaches ophthalmology residents and medical students at Cook County Hospital and has volunteered at Lawndale Christian Health Center in Chicago for many years.

Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Anderson-Nelson serves as an associate examiner for the board and regularly contributes to retinal conferences. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, and the Illinois Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
