About Me
Dr. Steven L. Williams is a retina specialist who joined Mid-South Retina in 2018. He completed a highly ranked two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at West Coast Retina in San Francisco. During his training, he won multiple research awards and was named Chief Resident in his final year of residency.
Dr. Williams' clinical expertise includes vitreoretinal imaging, telemedicine, and the medical and surgical management of conditions such as macular disease, uveitis, retinal detachment, retinal vein occlusion, and diabetic retinopathy. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on retina topics and has presented his work at major ophthalmology conferences.
Dr. Williams sees patients at the Memphis and Jonesboro offices. He is fluent in Spanish and, outside of work, enjoys gardening, plant-based cooking, and studying sacred history with his family.
