About Me
Dr. Sterling Cannon is an oculoplastic surgeon at West Georgia Eye Care Center in Columbus, GA, where he has been practicing since 2005. He specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, brows, and tear drainage systems, offering patients expert care in these delicate areas. As the only oculoplastic surgeon in the Columbus area, Dr. Cannon provides a unique and highly specialized skill set for patients seeking eyelid surgery and related procedures.
Dr. Cannon completed his medical degree at the University of Miami, followed by an internship at Columbus Regional Medical Center and a residency in ophthalmology at the prestigious Dean A. McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City. He then undertook a fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, further honing his skills in advanced plastic surgery techniques of the eyelids, orbit, and tear drainage system. This extensive training allows him to offer precise and effective treatments for a range of conditions.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Cannon is committed to serving the community and has participated in medical missions in Ecuador and China. He also volunteers his time with local organizations, including the Ministries of Jesus clinic and Young Life.
