Dr. Stephen Saxe

Stephen J. Saxe, M.D., FACS, is a retina specialist at Midwest Eye Institute in Carmel, Indiana, where he focuses on diseases and surgery of the macula, retina, and vitreous. He provides comprehensive management for a wide range of retinal conditions.

Dr. Saxe diagnoses and treats conditions including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, macular edema, retinal detachments and tears, vitreous disorders, and ocular inflammatory disease. He utilizes advanced diagnostic imaging such as optical coherence tomography and angiography, as well as ultra-widefield photography. His surgical expertise includes vitreoretinal surgery, retinal laser photocoagulation, and intravitreal injections of anti-VEGF and anti-inflammatory agents.
