Dr. Stephen Uretsky

Dr. Stephen H. Uretsky is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon who serves as the founder and medical director of Coastal Jersey Eye Center. He provides routine and complex eye care, including cataract surgery and lens implants for astigmatism and near vision, as well as treatment for glaucoma, retinal diseases such as retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration, and help for dry eyes.

Dr. Uretsky earned his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Elizabeth's Hospital of Boston and a residency in ophthalmology at the Eye and Ear Hospital of Pittsburgh. Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, he is also a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Uretsky has served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Shore Medical Center and as a founder and past president of the Jersey Shore Ambulatory Surgery Center. He has been recognized as a New Jersey Top Doctor.
