About Me
Dr. Stanley J. Berke is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. He offers advanced cataract surgery with multifocal lens implantation, which can reduce the need for reading glasses after surgery. His practice focuses on providing comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on the latest techniques in glaucoma management and cataract surgery.
Dr. Berke completed a fellowship in glaucoma and cataract surgery at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in 1986. He served as chief resident during his final year at Nassau County Medical Center and has been on the voluntary teaching staff of North Shore-LIJ Health System and Nassau University Medical Center since that time. He has also served as principal investigator for a major National Institutes of Health study comparing medical versus surgical treatment of glaucoma.
At Berke Eye Care in Westbury, New York, Dr. Berke provides expert care for patients with glaucoma, cataracts, and other eye conditions. His clinical approach is informed by decades of experience in both clinical practice and ophthalmic research.
