Dr. Shobha Topgi is a retina specialist and cataract surgeon at the Nielsen Eye Center who is committed to delivering excellent visual outcomes through patient-focused, evidence-based care. She evaluates and treats a full spectrum of retinal and vitreous diseases--including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and inflammatory retinal disorders--and performs cataract surgery using modern techniques and technologies. Dr. Topgi earned her undergraduate degree from Miami University of Ohio and her medical degree from Rush Medical College. She completed ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate in New York City, followed by fellowship training in medical retina at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami.
