About Me
Dr. Shiraaz Rahman is an ophthalmologist and cataract and glaucoma surgeon with John-Kenyon Eye Centers in the Louisville, Kentucky area. He offers comprehensive surgical care for cataracts and glaucoma, including experience with minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) as well as traditional glaucoma procedures, with a focus on protecting vision over the long term.
Dr. Rahman completed advanced fellowship training in glaucoma surgery at Harvard University’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Northwestern University and received his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine through the Honors Program in Medical Education. He completed ophthalmology residency training at Northwestern University’s McGaw Medical Center, serving as chief resident, and is Medical Director of the Eye Surgery Center of New Albany.
