Dr. Shakur Hamidi Toosi

Dr. Shakur Hamidi-Toosi is an ophthalmologist with specialized training in pediatric ophthalmology and eye muscle disorders. He received his medical degree from Shiraz University and completed clinical fellowships at Baylor College of Medicine and Johns Hopkins University, focusing on pediatric ophthalmology.

Dr. Toosi's clinical practice emphasizes the diagnosis and treatment of adult and children's eye muscle disorders, pediatric eye conditions, corneal and cataract microsurgery, and laser refractive procedures. He serves as an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Eastern Virginia Medical School and has held the role of Chief of Ophthalmology at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters.

Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Toosi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons. He also holds active staff privileges at several hospitals in the region.
