Dr. Maria Garcia Gonzalez

Dr. Lourdes Garcia is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of ocular disorders. With over 20 years of experience, she is trained in advanced cataract surgical techniques, including premium intraocular implants, and newer, safer procedures for glaucoma control. Her practice offers comprehensive eye care ranging from routine exams to complex surgical interventions.

Dr. Garcia completed a PhD in Vision Sciences and fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Genetic Eye Disorders. She also has training in neuro-ophthalmology. As an assistant professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School, she participates in training ophthalmology residents and contributes to the field through research and international presentations.
