Dr. Sean Donahue

Dr. Sean P. Donahue, MD, PhD, is a pediatric ophthalmologist at Vanderbilt Health who serves as Chief of the Pediatric Ophthalmology Service. He treats a range of eye conditions including amblyopia, strabismus, pediatric cataracts, ocular tumors, and retinopathy of prematurity.

His surgical expertise includes strabismus surgery, cataract surgery, and nasolacrimal procedures. Dr. Donahue also provides neuro-ophthalmology services. He completed his medical and PhD training at Emory University, followed by residency and fellowship training at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Iowa. Board certified in ophthalmology, he sees patients at multiple Vanderbilt locations in the Nashville area.
