Dr. Sean Hendricks

Dr. Sean Hendricks is a board-certified ophthalmologist and surgical retina specialist at Prairie Eye & LASIK Center in Springfield, Illinois. With fellowship training in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous, he diagnoses and treats a wide range of complex retinal conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, and vitreous hemorrhage. He also provides comprehensive eye care for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and dry eye.

A Quincy, Illinois native, Dr. Hendricks earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Missouri–Columbia. He then pursued an intensive surgical retina fellowship at Retina Consultants of Alabama and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, one of the leading retina training programs in the country.
