About Me
Dr. Scott Barb is a retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon who evaluates and treats conditions affecting the retina, macula, and vitreous. He provides comprehensive retina care, including diagnostic testing, intravitreal injection therapy when appropriate, and surgical options for more advanced disease. Patients may see him for problems such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, retinal tears and detachments, and symptoms like flashes and floaters.
Dr. Barb earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and completed ophthalmology residency training at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School. He also completed a research fellowship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and advanced vitreoretinal fellowship training at Emory University School of Medicine at the Emory Eye Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
