About Me

Dr. Scott C. Cardone is a board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist who provides medical and surgical treatment for eye diseases in children. He specializes in treating amblyopia (lazy eye) and performs strabismus surgery for both children and adults to correct eye misalignment. Dr. Cardone also offers surgical care for pediatric tear duct blockages, eyelid disorders, and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) laser surgery for premature infants, in addition to general pediatric eye care.

Dr. Cardone completed his subspecialty training in pediatric ophthalmology at Baylor University-Texas Children’s Hospital and his ophthalmology residency at Maryland General Hospital, where he served as chief resident. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and his undergraduate degree from Duke University. Dr. Cardone is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the Broward County Medical Association. He has authored articles in the field of pediatric ophthalmology and lectures in the community.
