About Me
Dr. Sarah Tanaka Glass is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery and the medical and surgical care of common eye diseases. She enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and combining precise diagnostics with clear communication about options and outcomes. Raised in Southern California, she studied neuroscience at Dartmouth College, earned her MD at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha), completed an internal-medicine internship at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, and finished ophthalmology residency training at the Casey Eye Institute at Oregon Health & Science University.
Dr. Glass provides individualized care for cataracts, dry eye, glaucoma, diabetes-related eye disease, macular degeneration, and uveitis. Recognized by peers and patients alike, she was named a Portland Monthly Top Doctor in 2025. Her practice philosophy is to match evidence-based treatments with each person’s goals so they can see comfortably and live confidently.
