Dr. James Mccarthy

Dr. James McCarthy is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He specializes in hand and wrist surgery, microsurgery for breast cancer reconstruction, treatment of lymphedema, and limb salvage.

Dr. McCarthy completed his undergraduate education at Oregon State University and medical school at Dartmouth Medical School. He completed residencies in general pediatrics at Dartmouth and plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has practiced at the University of Colorado Health in Northern Colorado since 2016. Dr. McCarthy is committed to research and innovation, including developing new technology for contrast enhanced peripheral nerve imaging using CT. He values the trust of his patients and is dedicated to providing safe, effective, and compassionate care.
