Dr. Sanford Moretsky

Dr. Sanford L. Moretsky has announced his retirement after forty-five years in practice, effective July 4, 2023. He has arranged for his patients to continue receiving care from the experienced team at Moretsky Cassidy Vision Correction, including surgeons specializing in laser cataract surgery and premium refractive procedures.

Dr. Moretsky is a certified specialist in Ophthalmology, holding a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University. He is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology. He founded and served as managing partner of Valley Eye Specialists PLC, doing business as Moretsky Cassidy Vision Correction.

Nationally, Dr. Moretsky is a past President of the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and a recipient of its Distinguished Service Award. He has served on the Board of Trustees of KCUMB and on the Advisory Council of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Locally, he is a past President of the Phoenix Ophthalmologic Society and has received the President’s Award from the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association.
