Dr. Sanford Chen

Dr. Sanford Chen is a board-certified vitreoretinal surgeon who has been a partner at Orange County Retina since 1993. He brings extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal conditions, with particular expertise in age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disease, and the surgical management of macular pathology.

Dr. Chen is actively involved in clinical research, having served as principal investigator in over 90 multicenter trials and contributing to the development of new treatments and surgical techniques.
