About Me
Dr. Sachin Kalarn is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special interest in glaucoma and cataract surgery. He completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and a research fellowship in glaucoma at Case Western Reserve University. Before training, he earned his MD and a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics/Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Arizona, graduating magna cum laude.
Dr. Kalarn has received recognition as a Gold Humanism Honor Society inductee and a two-time Best Poster Award winner at the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons annual meeting. He has participated in large multicenter ophthalmic studies and enjoys using practical technology and health informatics to expand access to high-quality diagnostics. In clinic and the OR, patients can expect clear explanations, collaborative decision-making, and care plans designed around their goals and daily life.
