Dr. Evan Lagouros

Dr. Evan Lagouros completed his medical degree at the University of Illinois, Chicago, and pursued his ophthalmology residency at Summa Health Systems in Akron, Ohio. He further specialized through a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

His clinical practice focuses on the surgical and medical management of complex glaucoma, premium lens cataract surgery, and complex cataract surgery. Dr. Lagouros offers patients minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and access to ongoing clinical research.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Lagouros serves as a board member of the Illinois Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, where he advocates for patient rights and safety. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and maintains active memberships in several professional societies. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and cheering for the Fighting Illini.
