Meet Dr. Ryan Barrett
About Me
Dr. Ryan T. Barrett is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist with advanced expertise in corneal disease, cataract surgery, and refractive vision correction. He joined Hollingshead Barrett Eye Center in 2016 to expand patient access to specialized corneal care, including medical management and surgical treatment for complex corneal conditions. He also performs LASIK and PRK, and offers standard and complex cataract surgery with an emphasis on safety and clear outcomes.
Dr. Barrett treats corneal disorders such as Fuchs’ dystrophy, keratoconus, and corneal scarring, and he performs corneal transplantation procedures including DMEK, DSAEK, and PKP based on each patient’s needs. He speaks Spanish and serves as the medical director of the Envision Eye Bank of Idaho. Dr. Barrett earned his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University, completed medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine, trained in ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine, and completed the Lindstrom Fellowship in Minnesota.
