About Me

Dr. Brent Betts is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who specializes in cornea and anterior segment disease, helping patients with both medical and surgical solutions. His expertise includes routine and complex cataract surgery, advanced refractive options (including LASIK, PRK, ICL, and refractive lens exchange), anterior segment reconstruction, and a wide range of corneal transplantation procedures tailored to each patient’s needs.

Originally from Southern California, Dr. Betts earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest University Eye Center, serving as chief resident, and then completed a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the University of Utah’s Moran Eye Center. He has presented research nationally and has a strong interest in humanitarian outreach, including training surgeons abroad to help reduce preventable blindness.
