Dr. Ryan Richmond

Dr. Ryan Richmond is an ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on cataract surgery and glaucoma treatment. He specializes in general ophthalmology, cataract surgery, premium cataract lenses including toric and multifocal options, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Richmond has served as Department Head and Ophthalmologist at Naval Hospital in Jacksonville and as Vice Chair of the Medical Executive Committee at Naval Hospital in Guam. His military service has been recognized with three Naval Commendation Medals, three Humanitarian Service Awards, and a Naval Achievement Medal with Flight Surgeon Wings.

Outside of work, Dr. Richmond enjoys spending time with his wife and children, woodworking, reading, and weekend DIY projects. He sees patients at the Charlottesville and Staunton offices.
