Dr. Ryan Johnson

Dr. Erik Kulenkamp is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who evaluates and treats a wide range of eye conditions for adults. Dr. Kulenkamp completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota after earning his medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Andrew Clingerman, MD, MPH, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at the Mankato Clinic Eye Care Center. He cares for adults and seniors with common and complex eye conditions, with special interest in glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts and diabetic eye disease. Patients appreciate his clear explanations, comfortable pace and focus on shared decision-making. Dr. Clingerman offers routine and medical eye exams and coordinates in-office laser procedures when appropriate, working closely with the clinic’s optometry and surgical teams to streamline each step of care. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Clingerman earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Louisville. He also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, and an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Pacific Lutheran University. He uses modern diagnostics to personalize treatment plans and partners with patients to protect vision over the long term.

Dr. Adam Ahlquist is a comprehensive ophthalmologist caring for adults and families in Minnesota’s Brainerd Lakes area. He provides full-scope medical and surgical eye care with a friendly, down-to-earth style that helps patients feel at ease. From preventive exams to same-day urgent visits, he explains findings in plain terms and partners with patients to select treatments that match their goals and lifestyle. His practice includes cataract surgery, glaucoma management and surgeries, macular degeneration care, and treatment of diabetic eye disease. He also evaluates dry eye and other common conditions, coordinating care with local providers when needed. Dr. Ahlquist earned his medical degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center in New York.
