Dr. Carter Nichols

Dr. Carter J. Nichols has retired after more than 30 years of dedicated service. He was a skilled ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and LASIK surgery at Twin Cities Eye Consultants.

Dr. Nichols’s passion for astronomy and optics led him to ophthalmology. He completed his medical education and training in Milwaukee, graduating in the 99th percentile on the American Board of Ophthalmology written examination. With over twenty years in practice, he became one of the most experienced refractive and cataract surgeons in Minnesota, specializing in LASIK and premium intraocular lens implant technology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Nichols provided eye care to underserved communities, volunteering his time and surgical skills, including performing surgeries in Nicaragua with VOSH International.
