About Me
Dr. Ross Stuber is a cornea specialist and ophthalmologist whose practice centers on diseases of the cornea and anterior segment of the eye. He earned his MD from the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, completed a transitional PGY-1 year at Northwell Lenox Hill Hospital, and went on to an ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He is currently a Cornea Fellow in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, focusing on advanced medical and surgical management of corneal disease.
Dr. Stuber cares for patients with keratoconus, corneal scarring, infections, ocular surface disease, and complex cataracts. He strives to match each patient with the least invasive option that can reliably improve comfort and vision, whether that involves specialty contact lenses, cross-linking, or corneal transplantation. Patients can expect a thoughtful, data-driven approach as he explains imaging findings, outlines risks and benefits, and partners with them in planning care tailored to their visual goals.
