Dr. Roger Newsom

Dr. Roger Newsom is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Tidewater Eye Centers specializing in cataract surgery and oculoplastics. He has over 20 years of experience focusing on micro-incisional cataract surgery using advanced FDA-approved intraocular lenses. Dr. Newsom offers distance, astigmatism, and trifocal/multifocal lens implants and was among the first in the region to use the LenSx laser platform for cataract surgery. He has performed more than 15,000 ocular surgeries.

Dr. Newsom completed a fellowship in eyelid and tear duct surgery at the University of Toronto in 1996. He provides consultations for eyelid and lacrimal conditions.
