About Me
Dr. Robert S. Gold is a board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist and adult strabismus specialist who has been a part of Eye Physicians of Central Florida since July 1987. He is retiring in November 2025. His clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric eye conditions and adult eye-movement disorders, including strabismus, amblyopia, and thyroid eye disease.
Dr. Gold completed his fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the James Hall Foundation, Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Pediatrics, and he holds a clinical faculty appointment at the University of Central Florida. Patients can expect care for a range of conditions from eye muscle disorders and double vision to lacrimal system issues and retinopathy of prematurity.
