Dr. Louis Blumenfeld

Dr. Louis C. Blumenfeld is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric ophthalmology and pediatric neuro-ophthalmology, with additional expertise in adult eye-movement disorders. He currently sees patients on a limited basis at the Eye Physicians of Central Florida office in Maitland.

Dr. Blumenfeld's clinical focus includes a range of pediatric eye conditions such as amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (crossed eyes), and retinopathy of prematurity. He also manages lacrimal system disorders, performs tear duct probing and surgery, and treats eye muscle disorders, double vision, and pediatric neuro-ophthalmic disorders.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Blumenfeld serves on the American Board of Ophthalmology Exam Development Committee and as an Oral Board Examiner. He has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Orlando Magazine since 2008 and contributes to research, having published on advances in amblyopia treatment.
