Dr. R. Samuel Cady is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who specializes in the diagnosis, management, and surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. He works with patients to protect vision over time, combining careful testing and individualized treatment plans with a clear explanation of options and expected outcomes.

Dr. Cady earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed ophthalmology residency training at the University of Washington Medical Center. He then pursued advanced glaucoma fellowship training at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. In addition to his clinical practice, he has served in leadership and academic roles and has supported international efforts to provide sight-restoring surgery through volunteer work. He received the Upstate Medical University Humanitarian Award in 2024 for his international volunteer service.
